{ Ouch }

I was in a fender bender this morning. I rear-ended someone on my way to work. I'm okay and the other driver is okay. There were no other people involved. Her truck is fine. My car is fine...with some flair in the license plate as her trailer hitch made a perfectly square dent in the center of it.

I'm sore from whiplash and I have a seriously bruised ego.

This could have been prevented and I'm really upset with myself. I'm also freaking myself out with the "what-ifs".

I fell asleep at the wheel.

Just saying that scares the living SHIT out of me. I have the most effed up sleep cycles sometimes. I got 7-8 hours of sleep last night but was totally exhausted today. Work sucked last week. School is getting more and more difficult each day. My kids were with their Dad all weekend. I spent the majority of my weekend crying. My brain is a puddle of mush right now and it showed this morning.

I saw my doctor after work because of my sore neck and upper back. Whiplash, of course. She also wants me to have a sleep study done.

Pickleman often suggested this due to my crazy sleep patterns. I shrugged it off figuring it was normal.

My doctor said that I shouldn't be that exhausted if I got 7-8 hours of sleep. I was DRAINED today. Dragged my ass around work until it was time to go home.

There are days when I will sleep 18 hours (obviously, I do not have my kids and I am not working).

I know this is rambling but I'm still freaked out about it and it happened 15 hours ago.

I want my mommy. :(

I'm so glad you had the best case scenario for a sleep-accident. XO

A sleep study is a great idea. Or thyroid exam? I keep egging my boyfriend on about needing to get his checked out. He has the same sleep issues you do... and his dad has a disorder.

Scary stuff. Glad you are OK. LOVE YOU!

I have the same square dent in my front license plate :(

Sleep study is a good idea. My husband had the same issue and now sleeps a zillion times better with CPAP machine.

hugs to you!

How scary that must have been. I'm sorry this happened and I am glad you are okay.

Have you been tested for sleep apnea? If not, please ask your doctor to test you for it. A good friend's son also fell asleep at the wheel and sadly, lost his life - he had sleep apnea but was just diagnosed a few days before the accident.

Take care of yourself.

Oh, Sarah. I'm so sorry. But don't beat yourself up about it. It was an accident. ACCIDENT. If it wasn't, they'd call it an "On Purpose" or something equally stupid.

I know what you mean about messed up sleep. I've been waiting to get my appointment for mine. I have been in the same place as you. Exhausted, even when I get a full nights sleep. Can't make it thru the day w/out a nap and it doesn't really work. In bed before 10, because I am exhausted, but sometimes not asleep before 2am. (screw that get out of bed if your not asleep in 20 minutes....if I did that I'd never be asleep) Anyway, I do understand. Why don't you call me if you want to talk?
I'll email you my phone#.

(((((hugs)))))

Bless your heart!
Your sleep cycle sounds like mine. I swear the more sleep I get (which is rare for me to get more than 5 hours a night, if Im lucky) the worse off I am. Good luck! I have missed your sassy ass!
